SUN Bucks applications are managed by each individual district.

School Day Cafe, a program of the Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency, serves over 20,000 healthy and delicious meals and snacks each day across 37 campuses. Our dedicated team of over 150 employees contribute to students' health, well-being, and their ability to learn.        

School Day Cafe was founded to provide nutritious meals to students in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our school districts are:

School Day Cafe is governed by a Board of Directors representing the four districts. The members include: Arik Avanesyans, Newhall SD; Nick Heinlein, Saugus USD; Irene Boden, Castaic USD; & Dr. Josh Randall, Sulphur Springs USD.

Our meals provide lean protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nonfat/low-fat milk; and less salty and fatty foods. Students are required to take a fruit or vegetable, along with at least two other components (protein, grain, and/or milk). 

 


Notice: The California Revenue and Taxation Code (RTC) Section 19853(b) requires local educational agencies (LEA) that operate the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) to annually notify households about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Information Act.
